MOVEMENT – THE FOUNDATION WE CANNOT DO WITHOUT

At PONNY KIDS, we build on one fundamental insight of modern pedagogy and neuroscience:
without movement, a child’s brain cannot develop properly.

Movement is not a reward after “learning.”
Movement is a prerequisite for learning.

Only a child with a well-developed body, balance, coordination, and stability is truly ready to develop higher skills – reading, writing, mathematical thinking, concentration, and self-regulation.

That is why movement at PONNY KIDS is a full-fledged and inseparable part of education, just as important as our Reading Lab, Writing Lab, and Math Lab – and at the same time a key source of mental well-being, healthy self-confidence, and intrinsic motivation.

Why is movement essential for a preschool child?

  • supports the connection between the brain hemispheres
  • develops attention, memory, and the ability to concentrate
  • improves speech, rhythm, and comprehension
  • strengthens emotional stability and self-control
  • builds strong foundations for reading, writing, and mathematics

Simply put:
a child must first get moving in order to be able to learn.

Sports at PONNY KIDS – targeted development, not just movement

Our sports activities are not random. Each sport has its precise place and purpose within our program.

TENNIS – THE BRAIN IN MOTION

Tennis is one of the most complex sports for the development of a child’s brain.

What tennis develops:

  • hand–eye coordination
  • fast decision-making and reactions
  • connection between the right and left hemispheres
  • ability to track direction, speed, and distance
  • concentration and perseverance

Children with well-developed coordination and lateral movement have a significantly easier start when learning to read and write.

GYMNASTICS – THE FOUNDATION OF THE BODY AND LEARNING

Gymnastics is an absolute foundation of healthy child development.

What gymnastics supports:

  • correct posture
  • core stability
  • balance and spatial orientation
  • strength, flexibility, and confidence in movement
  • confidence in one’s own body

Without a stable body, it is not possible to sit for long periods, write, draw, or maintain focus.
Gymnastics creates the physical foundation for schoolwork.

SWIMMING – CALM, BREATH, AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Swimming has an exceptional impact on a child’s nervous system.

What swimming develops:

  • whole-body coordination
  • proper breathing
  • body awareness
  • release of tension and stress
  • emotional balance and self-control

Children who can work with their breath and body are calmer, more balanced, and better able to cope with challenges and change.

Movement and moral values – more than just physical fitness

Sport at PONNY KIDS is not only about performance. It is also about character.
Children naturally learn:

  • respect for rules
  • fair play
  • cooperation
  • coping with failure
  • joy in their own progress

Movement is one of the strongest tools for developing inner discipline, resilience, and healthy self-confidence.

Movement as a key to future skills

At PONNY KIDS, we know that:

  • moving well = learning well
  • a stable body = a stable mind
  • joy in movement = joy in discovery

That is why movement is firmly embedded in our daily program – as a fundamental pillar of education on which reading, writing, mathematics, and moral values can truly grow.
